Millions of Wishes ~ 8" x 10" print
When I was a little girl, I was fascinated by Milkweed pods. My little sister and I would take long walks in the summer, and come across clumps of Milkweed, just like this one. We would then pick a pod, whether it was green (not ready) or brown (ready!), and pop it open to see the "angels" inside. We would then blow the "angels" into the wind and make wishes. And now, in my middle age, I still see millions of wishes when I see milkweed seeds taking flight on a breeze. And I remember my little sister and wonder what wishes she made, and if any of them ever came true.
